1999 SEOUL
In contrast to the class of last year's hotel, we found ourselves this time bunked up in the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon Dong. The best thing about the Hamilton is it's proximity to "Hooker Hill". Each evening Rhinos would gather in the Seoul Pub, our base camp at the foot of the mountain, before setting off (crampons attached) up the north face to visit the various watering holes. This year saw the introduction of the Five Simons and the emergence of Colin in his new incarnation - Chuck Pot. In the game we were unfortunately missing most of our back-line and as a result the Seoul Survivors gave us a good drubbing. We did however manage one try, courtesy of one of the five Simons, Mr Park who was subsequently awarded man of the match. In keeping with tradition our esteemed Chairman lost his wallet and credit cards. The Seoul Survivors were excellent hosts for the entire duration of our stay and on the final evening saved old Chuckie Pot from a good kicking.
